Are you a risk-taker?

How much risk are you willing to take??

The heart-pounding, adrenaline rush of this video reminds me that I am NOT that much of a physical risk-taker! Some of you, however, may be contacting the nearest high-adventure outfitter with a few new ideas. 🙂

What about faith?

Are you a risk-taker when it comes to Jesus and His heart-pounding message of love?

Simon Peter and Andrew risked their livelihood
The Centurion risked his beloved servant’s life
The man at Gadarenes risked his sanity
Jairus risked his daughter

His followers today continue to risk livelihood, life, sanity and family for the power of Jesus’s message.

What about you and I?

I am humbled by the risks people take to share the gospel message. I am embarrassed by my comfortable life and occasional “uncomfortable” moments when talking about Jesus.

This summer will be different. I have A LOT to say!

Won’t you join me and…

risk embarrassment to share about your faith …
risk rolling eyes when you talk about Jesus …
risk “lost time” by serving at the local food pantry …
risk lost income by supporting an orphan …
risk the comforts of home to take a week to go and serve with a full-time missionary

I want to be more of a faith-filled risk-taker!

Good questions, Sharon – I feel this way about blogging in general. It’s a risk to put myself out there and say potentially dumb things on a regular basis!
